Default OT: any interest in the K2 HID kit? (uses xenon bulbs)

just wanted to guage interest in this, i know there are other phillips HID GB also but i have been told these are one of the best kits available out there. all info is listed at this link:
http://www.kmax21.com/content4.htm

as for pricing, we're looking initially around 500 shipped with 10+ people doing it. i'm not overly hip to HID systems but if u have any questions i'll answer it the best i can or i can direct them to my guy who deals with k2

I've got to tell you Leo, Philip's kits are the best. Nothing beats them yet...

kinda funny u say that cuz some ppl says xenon is better, and the k2 ballasts are better than the phillips....but hey i'm no HID expert so how the hell do i know

EDIT: actually i remember now, my guy told me this is a better kit cuz it gives a true purple light aka looks real HID like the ones from bmw benz etc, not look like just another bulb.

The purple light part is true. The output that the K2 kit is not as good as the Philip's kit. Color wise the K2 kit would be better for what color you want but the Philip's performs better.

Who has a efective Philips, K2, Vision, Hella, Osram ballast, Bellof, Eaglite kit?

I've only heard bad things about Vision ballast failing.
OEM Philips, Hella ballast I've never heard reports.
Osram, just once.

I think it's the bulbs are the failing items in the kit. Not all Philips kits come with Philips bulbs.

I would have to agree on the Purple Output on the K2 Brand HID Kits. The appearance of the K2 KID cannot be touched by the Phillips HID Kit. I have seen both kits in actual life. Phillips is more of a White color.

If the K2 HID kits go for 450 and the philips HID kits go for 470, most people would pay the extra 20 bucks to get the philips, wouldn't you?

So if you want to sell the K2 HID's you will have to go way lower than 450. Just my opinion though.

When I refer to the " Philip's Kit " I mean the a kit with Philip's ballasts and Philip's bulbs. Only time will tell how these kits last in the long run.

The K2 IS the Vision kit. Just the second version. They have K1 and K2. I don't know if the K1 version is still for sale though.

ha!! this is wat i get for not having any good info. first i didnt know there was an existing gb on it, now it is a 2nd version of the vision kit

from what i am seeing, seems like the only real advantage over phillips is it has the true purplish look. other than that just another HID

now you see why i dont mess with lights

Yup. Philip's for output and K2 for color of light. It's like stock vs hiper white.

Yeah I read that the 4000k HID have a farther visiblity or are brighter than the 6000k or something. 6000k is purplish which is just cool, nothing more.
