FS: 1996 Honda Civic LX sedan 5spd - 240k miles!
Car is dark green exterior with tan cloth interior. Price is $1800 obo.
Previous owner drove 80-90 miles to work daily, which explains the high mileage. I drove the car between New York and Chicago for the past year which added to the already high mileage. However, the car runs perfectly fine!
Maintenance:
Previous owner changed the oil every 7500 miles with high mileage oil.
I changed the oil every 3000-4000 miles with regular oil and Honda filter at Honda dealer.
Transmission fluid changed with Redline fluids (GL4) last month.
New distributor installed last month (from Distributor King)
Options/Features
Has air conditioning, power windows and locks.
Factory Honda radio with Honda add-on cassette player. Aiwa FM-modulated 6 disc CD changer installed in the trunk.
Full Disclosure:
Car has no known problems while driving.
Previous owner slid into a fencepost at low speed and cracked the front bumper. Currently duct-taped; no other damage.
All original paint, no accidents aside from the one mentioned above.
Exhaust probably needs to be fixed (rattles from time to time and at certain rpms)
Car still gets 30-38 miles per gallon. I'm selling to buy a bigger car. I wouldn't mind keeping the car, but having five cars is just ridiculous.
Car is located in Illinois. Price is $1800 obo.
Please, serious inquiries only. I will post when the car is sold. Don't email me with one-line messages (ie. "you still got the car?" "how much you gonna go down to?").
Email to: briancho80@yahoo.com. Please mentioned Civic and Honda-Tech in your email.
EDIT: pictures added >

^^ Duct-tape on bumper from previous owner. No body panels damaged.

^^ Surface rust on bottom inside of drivers side door.

^^ Stock engine, with new distributor from Distributor King, NGK plug wires, Honda plugs.
Thanks,
-Brian.

Bump. Is my price too high?
I just changed out the spark plugs and spark plug wires with OEM Honda plugs and NGK wires (provided to me at the Honda dealer), along with the air filter. The tune-up is complete and the car runs great.

Please do not email me stupid questions like this. I don't want to sound mean or rude, but it's getting a little annoying. What is wrong with some people? Here's an email I just received from Prasun Deb:
if u r willing to drop it off in nyc..i'm interested as long as ur
negotiable on the price...which i cant ssay for certain until i see the
car...
if everything is mint im sure we can work something out..
thanks
i'm in fresh meadows, queens btw..
OK, I appreciate the interest in the car, but this person either can't read or expects a lot out of others. I mean, he wants me to drive the car from Illinois to NYC. Even if I do drive it over, he's not sure that he'll buy it. He wants to negotiate further from the low $1800 price. And finally, he's looking for it to be mint. Didn't I show pictures of the damage to the front bumper and mention that the car has 242k miles?
The price is firm at $1800.
I'm not going to drive it 1000 miles to deliver it to you - there are services that do this, and you're responsible for the costs.
If you want to see the car, make arrangements with me, but again, I will not drive it 1000 miles for you to see the car.
If you're too retarded read this post, then do NOT email me because I don't want to sell the car to someone who will probably wreck it.
Thanks.
