whats the best complete computer tunning system under 500 for h22a4
Hondata is s100, s200, and s300. Just differant versions. The s300 is brand new and allows you to "FINE" tune your car, and but for under $500, your best bet would be the s200. But alot depends on the tuner, If you plan to do this yourself, probably the hondata's the way to go, but if you have a professional in mind that will be tuning it, Get their opinion, it may save you money. Crome, and Uberdata just needs a chipped ECU and the program can be downloaded for free.

i'm running an apexi n1,free flow cat, megan header, aem cai, findanza flywheel, xtd stage 3 clutch, crank shaft under drive pulley.and of course more on the way.
With the s200 unit - you need to buy all the accessories....like the romulator and all the eprom burning things.........the s300 comes with ALL THAT.........all in one - and it plugs right up to the ecu. Have precisionh23a do the socketing for you. It only costs 595 - the s200 will cost more than that......with all the accessories ( that is if you want to tune yourself).....Actually, just a few minutes ago, I downloaded the AEM program - and its pretty nice also - but it costs a butt load. I'm in a predicament right now chosing - i downloaded the s300 software also - and its a little easier........actually a lot easier.........for self tuners........i say s300

except an ecu and then you need to socket that ecu....so its gonna end up being like 800.....

the tuning with the s300 is no better than the s200, you just connect with a usb cord instead of burning chips....

exactly...
to say there is one standalone that is the "best" is relatively impossible. its like a preference thing: some tuners prefer uberdata, hondata, chrome, neptune, etc. talk with whoever you plan on having tune your car. they will surely suggest something or a few different options. i like hondata, my tuner loves hondata. he sold me on it. i love the features: 3-step rev limiter, data logging, full throttle shifting, shift light, etc. plus im reading up and id like to learn to tune my car in the future and hondata seems to be easy enough to figure out myself...

You don't need eprom burning stuff if you have the ROMulator. I have the s200 with datalogging, all the software, cables, and the ROMulator for 350 in classifieds. So you can get it for cheaper than an s300.

100 for neptune? i doubt that. are u forgetting the fact that a neptune tuner has to tune it and only a neptune tuner? as i recall all the neptune tuner's charge around 500 out the door for neptune and tuning. they dont just sell u neptune for 100 bucks and send u on your way.
also you guys do realize that that 595 hondata price is just the msrp. i havne't found one seller actually selling it for that much but i have found two h-t sponsors that were selling it for 499shipped.

I say s300 still - its just so convenient........
Its a wire that plugs into your ECU - no big boxes or anything else - can't beat that........just unplug the little tiny wire.........and its stealth............because it hides inside your ecu case......
$595 - all worth it for me..........maybe you can find it cheaper in classifides or ebay or something.......
But i'm definately going to get it.
Actually - it'll be $889 with the socketed p28 ecu - or if you already have a p28 ecu - you can have someone do the socketing for you.
Or if you know how to solder and desolder - do it yourself.
I say it compares quite well to the AEM EMS.......and its hella easier to read

This is probably a stupid question, but what do you mean you " download " the programs?
What about the GReddy E-Manage system? How much is it, and how does it compare to other systems such as the AEM, Hondata, and A'PEXi V-AFC/V-AFC II?
