Then put a washer on the shifter itself so the **** can't go all the way down and twist the hell out of it til it's straight. The washer will give it a little leeway. You might have to grab one of those rubber twist-top helpers or a sticky pad or whatever. I gave my Skunk2 **** a full 360 degree rotation beyond the point where it was tight.
The washer will also hold the boot up so you don't have to leave it hanging and ghetto like everybody on H-T.

He was saying it screws on but that the numbers won't be straight...like once it gets tightened it's crooked.
Read my post cos you can fix that problem.

an acura RL? I could be wrong but I would imagine those are all AUTOMATICS? If thats the case, its not going to work so hot if you have a manual (and probably not even if you have an auto)

If it's a manual Honda ****, why would it have a different thread pitch than all the others?
Edit- wait...I just read that it does say '05 RL. Wtf? They definitely don't make the RL with a manual.
Edit again- I just searched on ebay and this is the auction. It does look like a screw-on, but that **** is probably gonna be pretty damn large.
