im going to a drag strip tom. and i was wondering if you guys have to wear helmets or any protective stuff, i can't get a ahold of the track and no one knows for sure, not really a prelude oriented question but i like this forum more neways....

 

you have to be running seriously fast to need any of that.....you ought to bring a few pillows and blankets for the crowd so they can nap while you go down the track...

 

If your car runs under a 13.0 you have to wear some protective gear.....atleast thats how it is here at IRP.

 

depends on the track. I know at englishtown you need a helmet no matter what, but you can just rent it right there for like $3.

 

Here in Hawaii I think they make you wear a helmet if you break 100mph in the quarter.

 

13.9 or faster and u have to wear a helmet here in sac.

 

here in memphis, <=13.999 needs helmet, <=11.999 needs cage. Slower then 13.999, all you need is to be wearing pants (as in not shorts). The first day I broke into 13's, I didn't have a helmet and they let me finish out the night without one since they're cool about it here.
