The driver side nozzle on my 2000 Civic is partially clogged so I have to replace it. Is there a set of compatible nozzles out there that have a fan-out spray pattern rather than the two streams that came stock? I never liked this spray pattern and I hope to "upgrade" since I have to by new ones anyway.

BTW, anyone who suggests I get nozzles with lights has to buy them for me!

rsx ones are that fan type nozzles but there mounted to the plastic trim just under the windshield . if u wanna customized a mount or flush them into the plastic. let us know how that goes. the only nozzle holes will have to be closed tho. so CF hoods don't have holes predrilled this would be an option.

 

From memory, I thought I remember hearing about accord nozzles working, but I don't know what model of accord.... Anyone else have an idea?

You are right, I don't have to replace it. If I can't find replacements with a fan pattern then I probably will just clean it out.

I'll tell you, theyre not that great. If I could, Id go back to the jets.
The reason I say so, is becaues the stream is very weak. When driving down the highway, they only shoot about 1/3 as high (at a stop they hit where they should).
Pop off your plugged ones and clean them...

ditch the clogged one.


reroute the hoses and nozzle into your grille so it sprays forwards. Make sure to only use one nozzle (lose the Y connector) so you have twice the spray. You can now dirty peoples cars in traffic when they cut you off.


i did this years ago on my 97 DX hatch and it was fun.

J/K I'm curious to know of some better spraying aftermarket nozzles as well.

I knew I would get someone to buy me a set!!

 

ok i've seen posts of cleaning them...i'd like to know how and with what? I don't want input from people who haven't done it or who don't really have a clue...it won't help if someone screws up their washer b/c you wanted to "try" something.

i know the accords of the previous gen (2001 to whatever year) have the spray washers, i like them alot.

 

just dunk them in solvent for awhile
anything to break whatever it is (prob wax) up

I remove em from the car, poke them out with a thin piece of wire then blow them out with compressed air. The newer style I just use compressed air on.

 

i use pin needles to clean poke at the holes for a minute, go to your car squirt squirt, then poke some more (:

 

i was gonna say that.. clean them with a needle or something tiny and sharp...
