I know it is but no one in the integra forum will answer anything for pre 1990 integras........so I thought I would ask....I thought there was a zc that bolted into the teg but I could be wrong...

I know it,

You need the Integra Blacktop ZC, they are a little harder to find but thats what he needs.

Remember now....If your buddy just asks for a Blacktop ZC he will get one for a 88-Civic chassis.

He must specify "Integra" Blacktop ZC or the motor he gets will not bolt right in.
Also dont let him accidentally get a Browntop ZC either, it would bolt in, but will not work with the 88-89 Integras.

And actually talk to a place that knows the difference in how the Motor bolts into the car, If they dont know the motor has different mounts than the 88-Civic, again, they will prolly be stupid and send him a Civic Blacktop ZC.

The black top is your best bet. I the Zc genre there are Three types when it comes to the dohc ZC
There is the brown top which sucks *****
there is two black tops the one that came out of your freinds integra and the jdm one that came out of a jdm crx.

I think thats the way it goes

the browntop doesnt suck *****, its every bit as nice as the blacktops, I had one in my 84 Civic HB and I will say this....with the 84 Civics weights and a DOHC ZC it will rock and roll, It was a hell of a lot faster than my 88 DX HB with the DOHC ZC.

btw...Browntops and Blacktops are rated same hp & torque.

Actually the brown top olive makes 5 more than the black top and there is a carbd version making 115. They are good for earlier gen civic, crx's hatch's but when it comes to mounting in the ef the mounts might require some modification.http://crx.honda-perf.org/arti....html

Sorry dont mean to call you out or anything its just my personal opinion.

Didnt want to cause any offense to my reply. I understand the original meaning to the post. I was just posting about the correct numbers on the brown top and black top. I meant no offense at all
