Default OBD0 ECU reprogramming

Who does it, and how much? I'm looking to reprogram the Vtec x-over, rev limit, and possibly the fuel maps on an OBD0 PR3 (JDM B-16A) ECU. If someone here is local in the Washington area and can do it, I will pay for the trouble.

BRE is the only free OBD0 PR3 based editor. check it out on PGMFI.org

TurboEdit works with the PR3 just fine. Crome will also do it quite well, and with a great interface. Either way, do look at pgmfi.org, and read read read!

crome is a OBD1 editor, so thats not gonna work.

and TE is PM6 based(works on NON V-tec ecu's) but , you can run a v-tec engine with TE using the A/C output from the ecu to activate the solenoid.

That's strange too, I could swear it would open a PR3 just fine...

I don't make this **** up you know, I know what I'm talking about.

Word. Crome and TurboEdit both work with PR3.

Anyways, I would take the car to get it tuned before you start messing with a chip. Chips aren't a magic problem solver for engine management .

You actually have to tune the computer for the car to work better. Lowering your Vtec point isn't going to help it just makes the car "feel" faster and you actually need the correct air/fuel ratios for your car to achieve peak performance.

Also, changing the rev limit is dangerous unless your engine is built to take the extra revs.

You didn't post your setup so I don't know what your engine is capable of, but regardless, get your car TUNED don't just get a chip.

And if your engine is stock then I really wouldn't bother with chipping or tuning.

It is a stock B-16A1 in my CRX. I'm actually not lowering Vtec engagement, I'm raising it. My stock PR3 has the Vtec x-over set to 4800rpms, which sucks. I'm looking for the neighborhood of 5700rpms.

Also, I want to raise the rev limit for future plans. I don't plan on taking it up as far as I'd like it set ofcourse.

Not really wanting to start an E-Argument, but

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by RACINTWEEK &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">crome is a OBD1 editor, so thats not gonna work.</TD></TR></TABLE>

?

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by RACINTWEEK &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">TE is PM6 based(works on NON V-tec ecu's)</TD></TR></TABLE>

But a PR3 is a VTEC ecu. What's the deal? TurboEdit isn't based on anything, it just has more support for the NG series PM6 roms. I have pretty good reading comprehension, it's just sometimes the things I read don't make any sense.

**** turbo edit, the datalogging, takes forever to log numbers. convert to obd1 and go with uberdata or crome, or crome pro, crome pro has auto tune but it isnt free, 150 bucks and your set.

IMO, id convert to obd1, my buddy hated how turbo edit ****** sucks when he saw how fast my uber logging, and now he wants to convert to obd1

Weird! My EDM PW0 (equal to PR3) custom program was done in Crome.
