Transmission Rebuild
We popped open a 1997 Honda Civic Si (Canadian D16Y transmission, and man was it digusting. Thankfully I had picked up this Transmission for free. So now were trying to rebuild the transmission, however Honda is wanting and arm, and a leg for the synchro gear sets. Are there any other GOOD alternatives out there that we could look into?

You could use gearspeed carbon synchros.. I think there website might be gearspeed.com, but if not just google it and it should pull it up..
Also check out http://slhondaparts.com usually that place is cheaper then the stealership.

if i have a DX tranny, is it possible to rebuild it with different gear ratios? well i am pretty sure you can, i guess my question is can i have something like 1st and 2nd gears from a ex and something like keeping the 5th gear to get better highway mileage while getting better accel. in 1st and 2nd...?? i did a search and found gearspeed, they dont have an online store..... any info will be helpful thank you.
