Default Speakers poping!

Well, I just installed my Pioneer 6400 headunit into my 97 Civic coupe a couple of months ago. Ever since I installed it, I have been hearing a pop noise coming out of the front left speaker whenever I change cds, turn the volume to 0, change to tuner and back to cd, and when I turn the headunit off. What could be the problem here?

Btw, I searched, but didn't find anything. Thanks.

If it is only on one speaker, I would check the speaker and the speaker wiring for a minor short, if it is only on the left front, switch the speaker outputs on the HU so the left is on the right speaker and the right is on the left speaker, if the "pop noise" switchs to the right side, the problem is in the HU, if it stays on the left side the problem is the speaker or its wiring.

Also check the grounds and the outputs on the radio.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by fcm &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">If it is only on one speaker, I would check the speaker and the speaker wiring for a minor short, if it is only on the left front, switch the speaker outputs on the HU so the left is on the right speaker and the right is on the left speaker, if the "pop noise" switchs to the right side, the problem is in the HU, if it stays on the left side the problem is the speaker or its wiring. </TD></TR></TABLE>

Thanks man... I rewired the harness because I moved my headunit to around the cupholders, and it's still doing the same thing. So the problem is in the headunit itself. I've had the unit for about 3 years now, time to get something new.
