Default problem with battery

for the past period sometimes for some reason when i try to start up the car the car doesnt respond at all. the lights flicker then dims. today this happened everytime i turned the car off. when i get somebody to jumpstart the car and i drive it the car works fine. i had it jumpstarted 3 times and when i turn the car off the car cant start. It doesnt even make that clicking noise. it seems like the battery is just completely dead but i had it checked up and everythings good. I checked the engine and everything. I did get a ignition switch recall a while back but i dont think it can influence this. has anyone have this happen to them or does anyone have any suggestions?

thanks
ps i have a 98 accord

Dirty / corroded battery cables @ battery terminals.
Remove, scrape clean with 80 grit sandpaper (both terminal AND cable end) and reattach.
sounds like high resistance connections.

i totally agree with P_Adams . either that or you got a bad battery, have it retested again , it should stay above 9.6 v under load ,,
