Default 97 DX motor into 90 DX

superhonda.com is a little slow so I'll try here;

I was just wondering if I could put a 1997 civic dx motor into my 90 dx with out alot of major work, I have already done a mpfi swap along with an SI tranny, will the 97 long block bolt right in/on to my manifolds, and will I be able to use my obd0 injectors, wiring etc.? all I will have to do is transfer my old d16 distributor over to the 97 head right? let me know asap, also how much do you think a 1997 DX shell would sell for, is $950 a good deal?

yes the motor will work. just use your wiring harness, and everything will work fine, you will need to use your intake manifold also

You will need 88-91 CRX/Civic driver side mount/bracket.

Matters what kind of tranny you have if you have 89-91 You can simply put it right on the long block (if it has flywheel/clutch combo). Otherwise if its an 88 tranny you will need that flywheel and clutch combo.

You can use its manifold or yours. Either will work. The 97 intake manifold may require some switching around of vacuum lines, iacv sensor, and a coolant line. otherwise just use everything from the d16a6 and put it on here. Use the a6 dizzy and ecu.
