Default leak # 342341: where is it coming from now?!

hello H-T'ers

I have noticed yet another leak on the bottom of my car. The last time, it was the axles, but now those are repaired.

I have no clue how this drop of oil got there. the stamped letters say P2E AT if that helps with the location.

here is a picture:

throw me your ideas again.

thanks

could be alot of things... why dont you try taking a picture from farther away...

i'd say: rear main seal, oil pan gasket, oil filter, or blinker fluid.

if you need to ask that question, i suggest you don't do it yourself. but i'll break it down really quick for you.

-The rear main seal requires the transmission to be taken off, so out it goes
-look into seeing if you need a new clutch *(manual transmission)
-next goes the oil pan *(note that taking off the oil pan requires taking off the lower portion of the header and possibly other objects in the way)
-might as well replace the oil pan gasket
-now you can start at the seal.

pretty straight forward if you know what you're doing... in this case, you dont

best of luck to you

why yes mr. smart ***.

i can barely get under my car to take the picture, nonetheless get a perfect picture to show where the oil is coming from. and i do not have my jack stands with me right now.

so you tell me, am i supposed to find a 45 degree swivel lense for my camera?
