Anyone have APEX N1 catback on their ITR?
Just installed this on my ITR tonight...
And it looks/sounds great... however I'm getting some rattling under the car. Haven't jacked it up yet to find out where it's coming from.. but is this normal for N1's? My guess is that it's coming from a heatshield somewhere.. but if it isn't, that's gonna be serious, because theres not really way to "adjust" a catback, you know?

i have the same problem, but its only when my car is warming up. As long as its not rattling all the time, i 'm ok with it. My biggest problem was only making it not rub my bumper. But that was solved by moving the hangers.. hope this helps

It only rattles when your car is cold? That's odd. I get rattling if I'm going down a hill etc... must be gravity pulling it close to something in the way... I really hope it's as simple as bending a heatshield. The rattle is LOUD, like embarrasing loud outside the car... have to take care of it asap.
That's a nice exhaust!
It might be my next one...
Did you mess with the cat heatshield?
Quite often when you losen it and put it back together start rattleing at certain rpm when cold, then, after being hot stops due to the metal expansion.
If that's not the case, check on the other heat shield further back, or for clearance between the piping and the underbody.
Hope it helped a little...

I know what you're talking about. I got the same rattle when i installed the cat-back on my gsr. You just have to look at the heatshields at where the s-pipe is. Thats where mine was rubbnig at least and whenever i wasn't on the throttle it would rattle like crazy and it was so embarassing. My only problem now is that sometimes when i slow down to a complete stop, my rpm drops to around 200 rpm and my bumper starts to vibrate. But anyways just take a look at your heatshields and look for any spots where it might rub. Good luck!
there are other CT integra members beside myself monkeytruck bigdiddy2kr slick gsr ... intersting. Maybe when ross' gets his *** back we can have an R meet and i will borrow one for the occasion

whoa! bling bling! need some shades, its so SHINY!! i guess i have to clean mine... but the rattleing problem... check your hangers, they were resting on the chassis (but not on bumper)... the hangers look like (oIo), instead of hanging on the "o", hang onto one of the "I" grooves... thas what i did...
I just went down the my garage, jacked it up, and sure enough where the "S" pipe heatshield is, there was only .5 inch clearance... I took some wire cutters and torqued that son-of-a-bitch away from the piping.. I now have about .75" of space, took it out on the road... no rattle whatsoever.

BlazinITR has one ask him... he's had is for over a year now...... Loud as hell...
Hella Loud is right! Fuminsho knows this first hand! He could hear me stop at every stop sign he had in his hood at 0200 in the damm morning. LOL! Anyway, if you think the Apex N-1 is loud, ****! Try the Spoon N-1! That exhuast is crazy loud, but sounds so sweet much deeper than the Apex.
Damm, getting back to the question about the rattling with your Apex N-1. I have the same problem too, but it's not the the heat shields because I took all my heat shields off the car. So, what else could it be? I check my hangers and it's not rubbing on my bumper. The only time it rattles is when my car is at low idle or warming up. Could it be it's rubbing on my lower control arm? I know that was a tight fit and a bitch also to get the exhaust through that spot.
scroll up and read my post... if you are still rattling, the hangers are resting on the body of the car, even if the exhuast is not hitting the bumper... you will see what i mean... (here it is, if u are to lazy to scroll up
