Default Suspension took a dump time to shop Suggestions?

My current setup consists of H&R race springs and Kyb AGx shocks .

Today on the way home my Front pass side shock shaft came up in to the engine bay and dented the **** out of my hood .

I am now in the market for a nice new suspension setup my budget is around 1200 bucks

The car goes to the track about twice a year and i like to corner hard.

What do you think of Koni Yellows with some GCs?

Will it ride harsher that the Kybs?

Go H&R they'll take the abuse.
They are really good.
koni/GC dont compare.

Depends what you want as far as sway bars
are concerned. A-spec is good brand

tein flex would be a nice choice, and then you always have the option of adding the edfc later...

H&R What? A-Spec what? Be specific otherwise you're just throwing out popular brand names just because you hear them the most. And as far as I am concerned A-Spec makes rear subframe reinforcements and not swaybars.

whats even more funny is that he said he has H&R race SPRINGS and ppl are recommending H&R COILOVERS....

anyway, i recommend eibach prokits with tokico illuminas, with a stiff rear bar.

i guess i should say the same to you....and i did have something helpful to say, i told him that h&r coilovers sound like a good fit for what he needs, as what he is claiming to want is exactly what they are for. so i certainly had more helpful things to say than you did. awesome language and representation for your business though

My current springs are only a year and half old

How would H&R Race srings mated to some nice Koni yellows work?

Thats what happened to my Kybs

I don't understand how this could happen. Did the spring fail? If the spring is intact the shock does not have enough travel to come up and push the bushing out of the tophat. Maybe the bottom spring perch failed. We need to have a picture to tell you what you need to replace.

My personal opinion is Koni/GC. Lots of honda-tech regulars will agree.

Also I would like to see Chinese Acrobat banned

dude, you totally fucked up the installation. its the fault of whoever installed these shocks.

youre missing the lower washer. its a special washer so that the shock rod doesnt punch through like that.

dont blame anything on the suspension components.

theres no way if you used the right washer it would have snapped in half. its not "special' in the way that its rare, its part of the stock design. its just different looking. its shaped to match the tapered shoulder of the shock rod.

also, looking at what you used as the top washer under the nut, you messed that up too. that looks like the washer that fits over the shock dust cover.

did you do the installation?
