Hello ijust picked up an 1998 Accord coupe and was wondering how to tell whitch model it is? It has the four cylinder and sunroof, power windows, and locks, a/c, keyless remotes as well.

Sunroof=ex

assuming it's 3.0 v6 which you have in the avator.

the only non-ex accord with sunroof(6th gen) is se which are all 2.3L

 

welll......sun roof, i would say its EX, but there should be a emblem on the back that says which model it is. Or maybe inside the ineterior somewhere.

not for coupe, there's no EX emblem, inside out.

the dead give away is the alloy wheel, moonroof, leather

 

It has alloy wheels and sunroof but no leather?

And the 3.0 V6 is my other car this is a 4 banger! 2.3L

 

doesnt your vin number tell u what model u have

 

not sure what to look for on the vin do you know?

 

did you register the car yet ? when you register your car they ask for vin #
they should be able to tell you what model it is but if you have sun roof most likely is an EX.

It's an ex 4cyl... no leather.

 

It could be a LX with an aftermarket sunroof....
There's a company that makes power sunroofs, that not only look "factory", but are powered and have custom buttons, that match the interior of the car!

 

Sounds like an EX to me but like stated, that is surprising no leather. and the EX has no emblems.. mine doesnt.

(abs, rear brake is only on ex 2.3L, all other DX, VP, SE, LX got a drum)

He's right I have a 2000 coupe ex and I have rear disc and moon roof.

 

not always, I have an LX and it has a sunroof installed at the honda dealer. The VIN is the only way for sure to know what model it is (assuming that the VIN has not been messed with or altered)

Not only that, but Mr.Speed is in Canada. Isn't their LX/EX lineup different from USA??

Got rear disk or drum brakes? I think that's the best way to tell, besides the VIN.

i was gona mention the rear disc's as well! good call
