Default radiator cap

ive got a fluidyne radiator(92up) in my 90 si hatch and was wondering if anyone else has had any problems out of the rad. cap they send? damn thing is a bitch to get on and off. My motor is just a stock b16 and i dont think i need a "performance" cap but are the "spoon" rad. caps worth the money or is it just "bling"

iv never heard of a performance radiator cap or have any idea how one radiator cap could out perform another.... do you mean is one easier to tighten than another or what? you lost me

some radiator caps raise the amount of pressure inside a cooling system... therefore the boiling point of the coolant is raised... for instance... coolant in a cooling system with a 16 psi radiator cap would be able to reach a higher temp. without boiling than a system that had a 14 psi cap... as far as would it be worth it i think that its always worth it to have some "insurance" just incase something happens

Go to Schucks/Checker/Kragen autoparts store and look in the radiator caps section. Find the Prestone radiator caps, and look for RSP-27 and RSP-33. The RSP-27 is a 13psi cap and is the one that will come up for the CRX in their computer. The RSP-33 is the same cap, but uses a 16psi spring instead. The RSP series comes with a little red flip down safety guard.

The caps are about $8 and are just as pretty and work just as well as the obsurd $30-$40 Spoon cap.
