Default brake lamp problem

my right and center brake lights keep going out. checked the bulbs and they are alright. it seems to just go out whenever they hell it feels like it. when i let the car sit for a while and turn it back on the brake lamp light is off and my brake lights work again. if you have any ideas about what this could be please let me know, thanks.

i would check all connectors, fuse for loose or bad connections..by both going out do you mean the bulbs are getting burnt out or are they just not working? there is a resistor for your brake lights inside the light housing itself..take out the brake light assembly and check that out with a test light..
