B16A STUCK!!!
Hi, I'm kinda new to the engine swapping game. I'm currently 17 years old and taking auto mechanics, I know that i have to change axels and shift linkages, n' all that go0d stuff. But the part that gets me is the modding. What kinda parts do I get if i swap in a B16A Si-R Motor into a 91 CRX?
Also, will swapping in a JDM engine into a US CRX compromise my A/C? I'm not trying to build a race car here, I just want a car that can perform when i ask it to, and a car that i can drive to work everyday without having to worry about the los angeles sun giving me a tan inside my car.
Any comments will help :D Thx.
Also, the Ground Designs 12-Piece widebody kit. I saw one 2 nights ago, the hood was Carbon Fiber... I was wondering if Ground Designs came out w/ a Carbon Fiber version of that hood, any comments?

Buy parts for the motor. Header/intake should be for a b-series motor.
Any exhaust will work, just need to get the piping custom made.
Just a few examples. I'm sure someone will name a few more. Oh, and while your at it. It's a good idea to change a few things... Timing belt, water pump, oil pump, spark plugs, spark plug wires, cap and rotor, all hoses.
B-series = B series parts
D-series = D series parts

by modding, do you mean "aftermarket" support? if you are asking if there is any u.s aftermarket support for the jdm b16a that you want to swap, then the answer is yes. in fact, the b16 and b18 are the most heavily supported aftermarket area when it comes to honda performance.
as far as what kind of parts do you get, im not sure what you mean by the question, but you are getting the best parts that honda had at the time. there were very minor changes made to the b16 between the b16a, a1,a2 and a3. honda pretty much nailed the "perfect" engine with the first iteration.
as for your a/c, atleast hasport makes a bracket for your setup, but its expensive and probably cant be bought unless you buy one of their mount kits.

Thx, I was talking to my auto-shop teacher, and he told me if i did this swap, then i would get an A in the class. So far, i know i gotta change the engine mounts / Axles, and shift linkage. Plus to get the A/C Running, there is a hasport bracket. (Found out on hmotors, they add hasport mounts/linkage/a/c brackets to the package). Is there anything else that i need to know?

theres a how to all over the place here. just read the FAQ at the top of this forum.
Your going to have to notch the front crossmember to clear the exaust, and cut the Front transmission mount, everything else is straight forward.
man, I wish I could get an a for doing motor swaps, hahaha
anyways, doing the swap is REALLY easy.
heres a tip. That L bracket you need from the integra, unless it came with your motor swap. some people say install it when your droping the motor in.
I did it by pulling out the intake minifold support and put it in from the bottom.
