Default Confused about spring rates

Im looking into coilovers and getting specific springrates and all that good stuff

As im looking around i see people talking in different measurment methods. I see some people using lb/in (400 lb/in-350 lb/in) and then k (11k/9k)

Is there a method of transfering lb/in to k or are they not even related and mean totally different things?

I have searched and found no answer

lbs = lbs/inch

k = kg/mm

1kg/mm = 56lbs/in

so ....

11k = 616lbs
7k = 392lbs

400lbs ~ 7k
350lbs ~ 6k

oh yeah ... and if you forget 56 you can rely on google. I love google

Just put this in the google search and you'll get the answer:

7 kg/mm = ?lb/in
