Default 1989 CRX SI & 1999 Civic si Coupe

Made a local trip to the junk yard today and came across a 1999 Honda Civic si coupe with rear disc brakes. My questions is has anyone or does anyone know if that swap will work, taking those trailing arms, proportioning valve, brakes and master cyliner off and putting them onto my 1989 crx si ?

The si also had a nice dash with the 9k rpm tach, I might pick it up.
He also had a 2002 honda civic si the motor was not scratch in the wreck he wants $2500 for complete swap, car only has 20K on it.

Please let me know if this swap is possable.

Here is my CRX, first time posting a pick here hope it works.
I have had this car since day one and I know the rims are old scholl but like I said I have had this car since new and it stays in the garage 95% of the time.

I don't know if the brake conversion is possible. However, you need to grab the tach. Whether you sell it or not.

Get rid of the Wings West stickers (unless your sponsored by them )
Sell those rims to some 16 year old who's stupid enough to want them
Hell for around 800 bones or less get some Rota GT3's or C8's hell even some 99' Si wheels anything!, or Volk GramLights.

Do a Karate chop to that wing!
Get summin ALOT smaller or nuttin at all.
Personally i have the SiR wing, very subtle kinda resembles the wing on my girls DA Teggy.

Just thought i'd give you some advice (dont take it to heart)

Oh yea...remove the tints!

LoL That car is nostalgic j/p

Hey but in the end its your car...it is damn clean...but yea....

Thanks for all that feedback, it was very positive

So will the trailing arm work?

I am going to pick up the tach and other small things.
Ohh ya I bought those rims new back in 1994 and those are the same Toyo tires that came on them, and that same year is when I put the body kit on and had the car stripped down and repainted.
Thanks for saying its clean because, it has not been driven in snow or rain in 6 years, also it only has 65K original miles all on my clock. The new brake set up & tire & rim package is comming after we get the new power plant in. Here are some pics of the new motor. The head is being done now, Port & Polish, new- Cam Shafts, Cam Gears, all new seals, Valves, Valve Spring, Ti-Ta Ret. and more.
Here is the new B16A w/LSD tranny from HMotors.

Why does no one like "Different" on this board? Don't change your CRX . If you like it the way it looks, stick with it. I like the wing, don't care much for the rims though, but then again I've always been for the split five spoke over the three.

Thanks new2...

Trust me I loved the tri's "when they first came out" now they are out of style... I still love my wing with the LED built in, also The RS*R cat back is sweet... I bought that in 1994 also when there products were a little harder to get a hold of.. Any way I will post some pics in the near future with the total transfermation in performance step by step build of a super CRX turbo rocket. Now that I can afford it
I guess no-one still knows about the 1998 Civic Si Rear Change over?

Here is thw ***..

Thanks mrtoastyjr, I was thinking they would but have not heard of anyone using them from a 1999 Civic Si before.

Does anyone else know of this specific conversion?

I also was lookin at the one from http://fastbrakes.com/shop/pro...id=98

wow are they pricey

no one ever talks about it because why would you look for civic si RTA's and spend more money, when you can just go and get 90 teg RTA's. the tegs RTA are easier to get and you get the same effect. and don't forget to get the proportining(sp) valve. i have that set up and i have to say that i am very pleased

and if your looking for some real stoping power then get the booster, master cylinder and the front knuckles

I never met anyone that puts a spoiler on a Honda for reasons other than aesthetic purposes. Do you?

i like different but that wing does not follow the lines of the car at all. It looks retarded.

The stickers.. yeah, need to go. And i don't think those rims were ever in style. Even if they were, we don't wear neon pink, zoomies, and other **** from 1994 so i would get new rims.

Instead of everyone telling him what they think he needs to change on the car, how about answering his question.

Whats the reasoning Behind that?
