turbo for f22 engine
I have a 96 prelude with a f22 engine. I was wondering how big of a turbo i could get and how much it would cost for the basic setup and how much a full setup would cost.

I can definitely vouch for that, im almost close to 2K but my "kit" will be much better than a GReddy kit or a DRAG kit.

It has alot to do with what you want out of the car. I originally bought a turbonetics kit ($3400) for my lude, and now the only thing left in the car from the kit is the fmic, piping, manifold and turbo. I would of saved so much money If I had pieced one together. For example my setup came with a boost timing master, retail $200, I dont need it since I have an Aem Ems. The kit came with 2 440cc injectors $160, I dont need it since I have 4 750cc injectors. Im not using their downpipe, etc.
You can probably go to a local shop and get them to piece one for you. Or get a quote to compare. you should retard ignition with boost to be on the safe side. I would recommend getting an s300 ($595) that way you can tune the car to your setup.
With good tuning you can push 8-10psi and be happy. You will be putting more stress on the engine than normal so dont expect to get another 100k miles from your honda anymore. But once the f22 is done, get an h22 , and here we go again.
