Default Changing Trans fluid on a 2001

A friend of mine asked me yesterday if I could change her transmission fluid. Its a 2001 honda civic. I am posting because I haven't worked on a honda, and very rarely a front wheel drive car, before and want to make sure before I tell her I can. Where is the drain pan located? Are there any tricks to draining the trans? Any special tools needed? I appreciate any help.

Auto tans ? If so, the drain is on the passenger side end of the trans case down by the subframe. It should be fairly obvious, no specila tools needed. Unscrew the plug and let it drain

Thanks. I've made the mistake of volunteer to help people recently without finding out what I was getting into first. Where is the transmission filter located? In case I need to change that out as well.

no trans. filter on hondas, just take your 3/8 ratchet and put that in the drain plug and it should come loose quickly then just let it drain all the way. and put 3 quarts back in it. doesn't take long at all
