im sorry to report 2001 0183 nbp type r was stolen from my house last night. i live in nj (union county) so its probably long gone in newark.

 

OMG.. Is this for real? I mean... this week alone, this is probably the 6th Time an ITR got Stolen/Jacked/etc-etc...

maybe our cars aren't really getting stolen but actually evaporating like water?

Damn...That's 6 in one week!
I wan't to show this to my insurance company (to simplify my claim), but I'm afraid they'll never insure my R again. Or raise my rates through the goddamn roof!

 

I think now, the only reason I come into the Type R forum is to see how many get stolen each week..

poopey. Pretty amazing that X amount of R`s are stolen a week and this site probably only represents 40-50%(?) of the R`s sold in the states.

I feel for you guys. My EK is gonna be on serious lockdown.

I don't think it is anything close to 50%. If it were, this board would have ~2000 regular posters. I doubt it has even 200.

In other words, the number of stolen R here may only represent 5% of the total.

ok...i'm freaking out now!!....i don't have a garage, so lets just say i'm not sleeping to well lately.......... i just hope that people that buy these engines etc.., actually inquire as to where some people actually get these engines from, some sort of proof that they are legit, cause everyday i see someone selling a type-r engine, trans, etc.....on ebay..., sooner or later all of our type r's will become ctr's, cause where else do these engines fit!!!

 

2002 will be known on H-T as "The Year of The Dissappearing R's"

NJ isnt the place for hot imports. GSRs/ITRs and SIs are stolen on the regular. But all the theifts are pretty much done by two groups according to my local PD and friends of friends. I had a civic that was stolen. They found it on Ferris St, Jersey city, completely stripped. These two groups could contain someone you know as a fellow car enthusiast. Half the parts that come out of NJ and im willing to put money on it are all stolen. These two groups operate in Northern NJ and Central NJ. They also like to creep up on the shore boys in Ocean County. And I guarantee you guys that these people are reading this threadright now. Time to weed out these punks

im stealth r brother and i was posting it for him. hes real pissed that his car got stolen but i guess u got to move one what else can you do. i used to own a py itr along with him. that was one of my reasons for selling mine. anyway thanks for all the post its just messed up people taking **** that we work real hard for.
