Default valve cover to intake pipe thingy

see the metal pipe that connects the valve cover to the intake pipe? well where does the other pipe connected to that pipe connect? i can't seem to get this stuff back together. i've been doing this for about 12 hours straight and i'm getting tired...

I believe the pipe coming out of the thermostat housing on the block goes to the end closest to the vlave cover and the other end goes to the bottom of the tb.

The top half goes from the valve cover to the intake tube obviuosly

The best thing to do is to cap the 2 ends of the tb, unscrew the nubs on the IACV and take the line that usually goes from there to the pipe that feeds the water pump and plug it into where the tube is comming out of the thermostat housing.

This will give a few extra hp by not feeding hot coolant through the tb and the back of the IM

The other one you are talking about is a water line. Connects to a nipple on/by the TB. You could just use two separate hoses and lose the metal "thingie."
