Default d-man

do you know what im talking about?i have a 91 si intake throttle body on the y7 now.if you have the 91 si ecu and intake ect, when you put the Z6 intake on there THERE IS NO FAST IDLE CONTROL SELONOID ON THE Z6 INTAKE, LIKE THE 91 SI. MY QUESTION IS WHAT DO YOU DO WITH THAT SENSOR?ANY ONE.

i believe you gotta leave it connected so circuit is complete or else check engine light will come on and idle will be screwed up,the fast idle solinoid picks up vacuum from two points and compares them to adjust idle,so i was thinking,on mine,im gonna tap an vacuum fitting into the sensor and connect a vacuum line to somewhere near old sensor location, then it has a vacuum line leading near the throttle body,so im gonna pick up the vacuum off a tee near throttle body, maybe itll work like that, ill let u know, but be patient gonna take about month before i get everything together and running

So what is the point of the valve. How does the car act without it? How do you block it off?

opps my bad,was checking all the codes in our ECU,well, there's no code for fast idle motor, only idle control motor, anyway, that good to know that car runs same, guess itll only effect it in real cold weather when engine is cold, once engine warms up,idle control motor takes over from fast idle motor anyway
