Default Auto to Manual Tranny Swap

my 97 accord tranny gave out....it's an automatic....shop said the tranny is done cuz it wouldn't shift into 3rd and 4th. Now I wanna swap it to a manual but i don't want the autoshop to pull one out of the junkyard because I don't know how reliable junkyard trannys are. So my question is, are there any sites on the web where I can just buy a whole manual tranny swap that comes with tranny and everything needed for an auto to manual swap? please help..thanks

http://www.haprecycling.com/

call them up. i read somewhere that someone bought everything for the conversion from them but it was at a pretty steep price. but they are a junkyard so i dont know about the warranty on the tranny.

i got all my parts from people of various web boards for killer prices.

This topic has Soooo been discussed before.
You will notice that of all the selections above (My Profile / Menber List / iServe / Garage and Search) search is very useful in locating information. I would suggest that by next time you will be familiar with it.

In the meantime, read this:

...again and again until you know it backwards

..maybe you should pay a visit to a junkyard... find a car that has low miles (stick).. and... try it out....
Junkyard is not always a complete "junk" yard..
