i have a honda exhaust manifold gasket and i see that around each exhaust port there is a raised/concave ring around the holes. which side does the gasket face? does the bumpy side face the head or the manifold? i checked both the haynes and helms and neither specify, other than "replace gasket".

it should fit on only one way, if you do it the wrong way it just won't go on, and i believe the convex faces toward the head, not 100% sure but it only goes on one way anyway.
