Had a good search and havnt found what i was after.

Am wanting an extra 25whp out of my JDM b18c, currently 146whp on a dynapack with I/H/E.

Am wanting this as cheap as possible so keen to leave stock bottom end. Focus is on quarter mile, so prob rev to 8800-9000rpm (upgrade valve train will be done).

Be interested in anyone who has used these bc3+ cams in stock b18c.

bc3+ are not going to give you 25 whp, maybe some pro1's, rocket m22xx's, a good valvejob, ported head and a good header/exhaust. Cheep and going fast dont mix well

 

Would some s2s1 cams be more suited to my set up? I remember seeing a comparison between s2s1 and bc3's but cant for the life of my find it again.

Anyone had good gains on standard b18c block with just upgrading cams?

 

You're not going to make much power past 8500 rpm with those cams.
Go with the Pro 1's if you want more top end.

cheers for that.. I'd be real happy with 181whp, but whether i got that or not out of my set up is another thing.

Any idea what a standard jdm gsr does on that tempest racing dyno?

171 whp with a chipped p28 with a gsr base map, I think i should be making more power and sugestions, coments?

How does your car feel on the street, quick?

 

yea.. it doesn't feel bad

 

the bc3+ doesn't give insane peak numbers, but it does give more area under the curve, meaning more power overall. More midrange=feels faster on the street.

i'll let you know how my car feels after i get em in next week

 

A buddy of mine has S2S2 and when we mess around and do like a 3rd gear pull from around 4 or 5k, I jump on him pretty bad untill higher rpms then he pull past me. our set ups arent exactly them same but u can tell the diference with the cams.
