Default DC Header O-ring question...

Okay I just got my 2-piece DC header in the mail today. The o-rings that came with them are flat on one side. Does the flat side face the lower or upper part of the header, or does it even matter??

The flat side should butt up gainst the new header, and the tapered edge to the cat. Are we talking about the same one here?

your talking about the two rings that go inside the primaries correct?
if so then the other part is the donut gaskt that connects the header to the cat, but the two o rings should have the flat side up, meaning touching the other part of the two piece header that is attatched to your block

Well, I guess I put mine in backwards. Oh well...it doesn't leak so I'm not worried.
