$120 labor for installing 4 struts a fair price ? BTW how hard is the job ?
Just do it yourself, it's no big deal and also a learning experinence. If you have a helms manuel it guides you through step by step.
I was going to try and install my own when I got aftermarket struts and springs but I didn't have a spring compressor. Most of the places I checked around with (local performance shops and wheel/tire places) wanted $50-$70 just to compress the springs for me. I ended up just paying a local import shop $100 to install everything.

I heard you can rent a spring compressor for like 5-6 bucks at kragen or something...
it is not a hard job at all.. takes a bit of time and it can get dirty.. but its not hard... you can rent a spring compressor for free from pep boys or autozone... i rented mine at pep boys for $50.. you drop down a $50 deposit.. and as long as you bring it back w/in the time limits.. when u return it.. they credit you card (making the loaner free).. i think autozone does that too..
anyway my first spring/shock install took me about 2-3 hrs using hand tools.. now i could probably do it in about an hour..
all you need is jack, jack stands, breaker bar is helpful, allen wrench, ratchet/sockets, spring compressor and a buddy is helpful... thats about it.. its a completely bolt off, bolt on affair..
i wouldnt pay $120 for sum1 to do it.. but i guess if your not comfortable/lack the skill or just dont wanna get dirty.. i guess you should shop around.. cuz 120 is kinda high..

MileHiGSR: You know Checker out here will "loan" you spring compressors? They charge you $50 up front but you get the $50 back when you return them. That's what I did when I installed my suspension a while back. I got them at the Checker on 88th and Wads. BTW, what import shop did the install for you?

The installation is pretty easy. There is a walkthru on how to do it here: http://www.bseries.net/html/garage/spring.php
That is what I followed and it was simple.

Rent a spring compressor?! haha I popped mine the old fashioned way, with a tire and a curb! Kinda dangerous tho.... We ended up only doing like 2 cause it's scary stuff putting on coilovers w/o a compressor. Here it costs about $120 unless you do it yourself which I would. It really is a good learning experience, just take your time and make sure you have the right tools. Goodluck!
i am by no means a mechanic.. and i didnt find installing my shocks and springs very hard.
It was just time consuming.. get a friend and a buncha beers and you can do this in one afternoon

I've done this two times and I think the next time Im going to pay. To me, it is definitely worth 100 bones. However, I've never had a nice spring compressor to use, and it always scares me sh**tless compressing those springs. If you don't have air tools I definitely wouldn't attempt.
Yep I agree, without air tools is pretty scary. I wouldn't wanna do it again, that stuff can fly if you're not careful! Might be worth the $100.
give me 75 bux and i'll do it for ya
its easy once you get the rusty bolts/nuts off. i've replaced a set in an hour with hand tools.

Thank you all for your input.
Now that I have enough confident and knowledge, I'll do it myself.
Justin, thanks for the very helpful link.
