Hi im from sunny england and i was just woundering how i can find out if my black EG coup is an import frm jap or not.

Any help much appreciated, coz i really dont have a clue.

i think euro honda's are imports because i dont think they have a factory there anyways give us part of your vin or all of it what ever you feel comfortable with

 

Look at the sticker in the door sill (i dont know the exact name, but its the driver side part of the car where the door is closes to the seat belt).
There should be a white sticker with a bar code and VIN #. It should indicate the manufacturer on the top of that sticker.

 

what numbers i need to be in there to make it jdm?

if it is a coupe then it was built in the us

 

Yea I think all 92-95 coupes were US/Canada built.

 

The sticker should say something like:

"Manufactured by Honda of _______"
or
"mfd. in ______"

I dont have a digital camera with me so I can't provide any pictures.

I'll go check my car again to get more specific.

 

Ah ok thanks yeah its a coupe, that give me an advantage here in the U.K. over UK made crap? i.e. runs better of our fuel or anything like that? May be a noob question but only young and gotta learn!

If you open the hood theres also a sticker there that says made in america, japan, ect

 

 

first letter of the vin. should be J, if not it's a US or canadian model, check the door jam, it should have a sticker.

only works for american vins

specifically, are you asking if your car is a gray market car or imported by honda of UK?
