D2 install pics and Review..
Today I installed my D2 Rs coilover system. My first impressions of them are they look good. But look nice and ride nice are two different things. I looked at them for a while trying to figure out how I am supposed to adjust them to make them ride right. I think that the set up instructions could be a little more clear as far as how to set the spring and the lower perch to achieve the ride you are looking for. My only other complaint is the adjusters for the softness and stiffness. When you put them in you don't know where they are set from the factory so getting them even on both sides is kind of a pain in the ***. At this point in the install I wasn't sure if I had made a mistake in buying these. I guess someone needs to be a guinea pig. But I took the car for a spin and they ride great they are awesome if you are doing a lot of street driving; at full hard they are fairly stiff for all of you track junkies. I will recommend these coilovers, they are a good ride and a good price. I have had alot of different set ups in my time and I think these ride as good or even better than some of my more expensive set ups.
I bought mine from Tom at Camp1320 give him a call if you are interested and he will get you hooked up. for a great price

I will post updates when I get a hundred plus miles on them..

to bad only 5 clicks (or less) only work but my friend got Ksports (same as D2 if you didnt know that) and he likes them but then again he has custom spring rates
IT is more like 3 different settings.. It is soft med and full hard med and full hard arent that different but they drive pretty good so no complaints thus far
I Just installed a set on my S2k. I had no clue what the setting where when I put them on so I turned each shock all the way to (H) or soft, which I figured out after I took it for a drive. Though noticablly stiffer then stock on multiple bumps, they still feel almost stock while crusing. I haven't tried all the way hard or (L) yet but the car barely moves as it is now. I'm sure all the way (L) or hard is perfect for track use.
My 2 compliants are the lack of documenation about the shock adjustability and the fact that they don't click when adjusting. It's like your guessing based on the top hat images (teardrops) and though there are only 6 you can go around like 6 times +-1-3 before you come to an end.
Edited adjustment statement

I'd like to add that the height adjustment from the based of the shock is quite awesome. That way you don't ever lose shock bound or rebound length. It also stays the same no matter what height.
The only way I figured to change height is to make sure the top to plates are locked together and turn those plates againest each other to change the height (top clockwise to lower, bottom counter clockwise to raise).

you talked about how they "ride" like a hundred times in your review,
I really have no idea what you mean by that.
do you mean the ride height? do you mean how comfortable they make your car?
it absorbs bumps? how it leans into corners? .. what?!??!
fyi: everyones favourite shock, the koni sport(yellow) also gives you know
idea what the damping is set at.

so if you twist the damper adjust all the way the thing will come apart??
it doesnt just stop when you get to the end of its damping adjustment range??
wtf ?

Ride as far as I'm concerned is ride quality vs. stock. Smooth vs. bouncing, firm vs. soft, grip and control.
My ride is very nice and handling thus far is much better. It should get even better after I get an alignment.
I just went outside during my lunch to check.
I twisted my damper adjust around 6 1/2 times. Now 6x6+3 is 3 which is just high of the 36 they are talking about in their adjustability range. I guess that is why I said that previously. So I retract my previous statement of them coming undone. It just felt like that because I kept twisting it and wasn't keeping track and thought I was high then I really was. My bad.

My car is pretty low.. I dont know how many inches but I am almost tucking tire up front and I can still go down a few more inches.. The height adjustment is good.. As far as stiffness it is stiff enough for my liking but I just have the stock spring rates. I like it because it doesnt beat the hell out of you in city driving and I can put it full hard if I want to do a little spirited driving on the weekends. I will say the suspension can hold its own on the corners. I have it on a 2k SI and it handles as good as my delsol and the delsol has tein SS on it with ST sways.. I am still running stock sways on the SI..
