My car is a 00 Si and I get code 67 every other week or so for "catalyst system", could that mean the secondary O2 sensor is going bad, or the cat itself? I would think if the cat was bad it would stay on, and if the light comes on and goes off then it's just the sensor?

 

do you reset the codes to get the light to go off or does it turn off by itself?

do you have the OEM cat or a high flow?

 

Stock cat, aftermarket intake/header/axle-back.

I don't reset the light, it goes off on it's own after a few days.

(signs of a clogged or failing cat)

idoes the light seem to pop on after a specific kind of driving? (cruising, pushing, idling)


how many miles are on the car? (indication of age of cat and O2)

 

Car does not run any different though since it started I haven't been getting on it lol

Light comes on just in random driving, it's always number 67 for catalyst system

Car has 62k with i/h/e and stock cat.

 

more than likely it's the O2 then.
