Default Emission Question, need some advice!!!!!

Ok I have a 97 hatch with a JDM GSR swap, I am running a odb1 p72 ecu. I will be needing to get my emissions check soon but wondered ifit will pass since 96+they have to hook up the diag scanner to it to check for codes, but since I am running a obd1 ecu that is not possible. I have a cat and I do not have a check engine light on and my swap was done right so it would pass but I am not sure it will because of this. Is there anything that I can do? Can I take it to a station that does 95 and under and they put the piece in the tail pipe and run the car?? Anyone have any idea??????

That is the problem, if I hook up and run a b2 ecu it will throw some codes for sure since the engine is wired for and obd1 ecu.

Do you think I should sale it? I have about 1 1/2 months before my plates are due. I am sure I could sale it by then. I may know someone but everyone around here charges $200 for a false emission slip. and it is harder to do on 96+ models.

Wire up the extra O2 sensors man.

Did you modify the orginal harness or use a conversion harness? The best would be to wire up all the sensors for obd2 and use the coversion harness for your p72. Then when emmissions rolls around, swap the obd2 ecu back in.

A conversion harness was used but I don't have the original computer, i have a 00 si one laying around would that work? all that would have to be hooked up is the o2 sensors and it wouldn't throw a c/e light?

you need all the obd2 components.

I dont think a 99-00 Si ECU would work because of the differences. I think its worth it to get the right ECU and make your car able to be obd2, so that you can keep it.
