Default anyone ever had problems with skunk 2 valvetrain?

i had a built b20-vtec with s2 valvetrain with buddy club spec 4 cams, made 233whp 174tq about 3 months later i broke 7 valve springs, call up s2 and told them they told me they never heard of this happening. before i built this motor i had another b20-vtec with s2 valvetrain, after driving for a few months my valve train started to make noise, so i checked the valve clearance, it was within spec, i to the head apart and found the top of about 12 valves mushromed. F*#k s2 they sh#ts garbage.

Wierd, my friend and I have had Skunk2 valvetrains in our cars for years, no problems. I have heard of their stuff breaking though, and it always makes me nervous in the back of my mind.

they were the new parts, when i talk to the guy at s2 he told me it must have been a installed incorrectly, i told him the motor has been running for a year and a half before it broke. he said the parts did hold up so they are not junk. i asked hid is it only supose to last a year and a half?

I don't use any valvetrain with stock keepers unless we are using stock retainers. Stock keepers are are not always friends with ti retainers and pull through. mushrooming would be from putting it in valve float or not enough spring pressure.
Same case of you breaking the springs.

most of the people that claim broken valvetrain are victims of their own install failure. such as not properly seating the valves. as of now everyone i know is running supertech valvetrain with no issue's with motor making over 270whp on motor
