Default Need help deciding what suspension to order

I was wondering what you guys thought about these three choices of full coilover systems. They would be going on an EF with around a 2.5-3.0 drop. I want them to be pretty stiff for street and able to handle and take the abuse of auto-x incase I ever get into it. I am considering Tein basic dampers, Omniower, or D2 coilovers. Anybody have any of these suspenions on an EF? How do you like them and would you recomend them? Thanks

i've been reading around the suspension forum for a while now, trying to decide what suspension to go with for my EJ, and I've pretty much decided on Koni yellow + ground control.

i've read Tein Basic is crap. On the Omni's you can't adjust your shocks. Nobody has anything bad to say bout the Koni/GC setup. Plus the price is decent (estimate: $500 for shocks, $300 for springs) depends on where you get it. Plus you can get custom spring rates. So you can get a nice setup for the street, then later on when your car is ready for autocross, you can swap those springs out and get a new stiffer spring rate. Plus the GC springs keep their value pretty well, and you wont have a hard time selling them for $200+ after you've used them.

Just make sure if you do go with Koni/GC that you specify that you will be using Koni shocks so they send you a "skinnier sleeve" i guess.

NO NO NO Dont run Koni/GC you must run omni. Honestly how can koni compare with omni's warrenty or how omni has the best customer service ever. The reason omni's arnt adjustble is because their are 100% perfect from the factory, their shocks have the best valving in the industry. Really if you think americans can build a better product then an east asian sweat shop then your wrong. Omnis even have adjustable preload witch is the MOST important thing in the suspension world. Honestly custom springs rates are STUPID why would you want custom eibach rates when you can have the stock ones from omni, they obviously know way more about spring rates than eibach does. The omni rates are allready perfect and designed for each car with countless hours of R&D abd track testing.
Anyway i am stupid and i bought the Koni's.
