Default Looking for flood title S2000

I'm looking to upgrage from my ITR to an S2000. The car will be destined for a track build.
What should i expect to pay for a flood damage or salvage/theft title car?
Where should i begin looking for such a car?
Are there any things i should be looking for in a flood car IE. electronics
thanx

**dammit, i made a type-o in the title i meant s2000, dang its late

I've seen early models for $10-12k. Watch eBay. I'll sell you mine, but its not salvage and it will cost about double that.

as a track car, all you really need is your tach and taillights to work. if the motor is blown, it wont really matter since you're paying soo little.

if you wanted a working car, look for a stolen and stripped s2k and buy it. take that and buy a f20 or f22 and put it in there and u will be good to go.

this place looks pretty cool.
there is a flood S2000 there for 10,500.
my plan is to make the car street legal, but mostly a dedicated track car.
what do you guys think of the site?
there are also Supra turbos for real cheap that i would also consider.
Im from Canada so i would have to most likely borrow a friends F150 and rent a trailer, the pull the car back to canada.

make sure you take a good look at whatever you buy. in many cases, replacement parts can easily add up to what a nice used s2k would cost

i paid ~10k delivered for my S2000....mine was "fire damaged"... it still had the original airbags, dash, etc... in it. The fire was just on the hood, covert top and trunk. (set on fire for the insurance I am guessing).

I think I paid $300-$400 to get the ABS fixed and power steering to work again....

goodluck!

Good deal if the airbags are still good. New hood, a hardtop, and a new trunk added up to how much?

Actually they had fixed all of that before I got the car..... I did pay for a used hardtop.... $1850 from the S2000 board.....

I got an awesome deal on my car..... no frame or body damage at all.... my valve cover is still "scorched' looking and my taillights are somewhat melted at the top of them but that just ads charector...

i bought new taillights but haven't put them on yet.... too blingy....

Front end damage, blew both airbags. The estimated at 27k, so its salvaged. Runs great with an F22 though.
