why is my clutch pedal letting off so high???
hey guys i need ur help w/ a problem w/ my 93 prelude. recently, my clutch master cylinder went out on me. it had a leak. so i got it changed and new clutch fluid was added and it was bled. i drove it back home from the shop and it was running great. the next day i had to make a drive about 25 minutes from my house. and when i was half way there on the fwy i felt my clutch pedal being weird. i exit the fwy, and when i took off on 1st gear the release on the clutch pedal was really high. higher than before. it would not want to go into 1st gear and when it would and i would shift to 2nd and give it gas it jus revved my car wasnt pulling whatsoever. so then my uncle said my clutch was gone. so i changed my clutch and bled it yesterday and i drove it. felt a little better. it grab 2nd. but still my clutch pedal still lets off high. like i can jus push the clutch pedal down jus a little and i would be able to shift gears. its kinda weird but i hope ya'll might know what im saying. any info would help guys!! thanks!
Theres an adjustment on the master cylinder rod. Turn it a little at time until it feels normal. Look up under the dash right where the clutch pedal is. You'll see a rod with 1 lock nut on it coming out of the firewall to the clutch pedal.
i adjusted the rods but there is a bit of play on the pedal even when its been bled. but its better now!
