i love my crx but want the interior of the preludes of 1992-1996, is it possible?


is it possible to swap in a dash and door panels from a 92-96 prelude into a 1990 crx? its a project car, i have time to customize it and modify it to fit but i just want to make sure its a possibility. how hard will it be? i will have to splice the wiring and all. thanks in advance

 

Look at the size of the prelude, and then look at the size of the crx. There's your answer.

I dont think the dash will fit, I think its to deep. and dont the preludes have Air bags?

 

i dont think the dash fits...but there was a thread a while back on this site.... i think it was this site...someone tried it or something...i dont really remember

The DC teg dash also has bags and is possible in the EF but its alot of work.

 

if u ask me i dont think any of these dash conversions are worth it....for the money u spend u can have some nice parts for you car....ones that just fit right on ....cause once u start cutting...and mounting things ....things start to get messey...id keep my original dash

Well I got a complete RSX dash out of a Front clip from an auto body shop, I got it for free. so if It doesnt work like I want it too, what am I out? time?

i've taken a prelude dash out before..

when you see the wiring that is behined that HUGE dash you are going to **** your pants.

I've seen a RSX dash in a EG, lots of work but the fitment is about close to perfect.

yah, I havent messured it, but my eyes tells me the Length of it is about the same of an EF, but the width is alot bigger. I think im going to cutt it in the middle, like a strip, and merge the 2 together using fiberglass. My buddy owns a body shop and he knows whats good for what, so hes going to help me out.
