civics?
Is a 97 stcok vtec civic anygood to spend money on? and on a engine with a header intake and catback exhaust. does ur car really go that much faster? and what would be hp gain with all of that?
u could turbo it, but if you want to go all motor i would suggest a motor swap with those bolt ons.
on a stock vtec engine, those bolt ons dont add that much hp, but noise goes up alot

you are basically going to get nowhere with NA boltons as its not that powerful of a engine to start with (not that B-series are powerful)...I'd suggest you just boost the **** out of it. Push 15psi, if the engine blows you can replace the whole block for 400 tops

There are SOHC Civics running 400 hp's. I have seen DOHC's running over 1,000's hp's. SOHC's are great motors, but they will never have the potential that a DOHC will simply because of more tuning options. Two cams instead of one. More stock power than the single cams. You can definitely still get great power out of a single cam if you build it and tune it right, but a DOHC will part for part, still make more power than an SOHC.
