Which In your opinion is better?
Inline pro turbo kit, or Rev hard stage 2 turbo kit, and no i dont have 5 k right now, but im looking into getting a turbo for my 2001 s2k, but what compression would be best to run a turbo setup? thanks
5000 is only for the turbo kit. expect another 2000 or more to build ur bottom end. people like 9:1 if you want more boost, look at 8.5:1 if you are going to boost less, 9.5:1. read about boosting in the FI section.
i suggest you fabricate ur own turbo setup. it will cost you less and you can spend that extra money on other stuff, like aem ems and dyno time. it will help ur motor produce more power and last longer.
remember, boost is expensive. always have extra money saved up. something is going to break. you dont want to break something and have ur car sit there for 3 months cause u can afford new pistons cause u blew up the old ones.
for the bottom end..ARP studs, your choice of pistons and rods and bearings and sleeves. studs are about 150. pistons and rods are about ~800. i forgot the price for bearings. sleeving the block is about 7-800 dollars. go with someone good, like earls, rs machining. etc.
