IACV decisions
Well, long story short the car has been dealing with 'motor boating' issues for a long time due to the poor design of the venom intake manifold. After as much researching as I could handle I've yet to come up with anything feasible still for some kind of help. I was wondering what the guys who use manifolds such as Skunk2 and all the other poor manifolds out there that dont incoporate any of the normal idle controls DO. Nothing Ive researched so far has yielded me with anything useful. Right now my IACV is sitting on the rear crossmember bolted down with hoses running in one side and out the other... Thats as good as it gets with the venom intake manifold and I cannot get it to run smoothly. It idles and its quiet entertaining watching it bounce around for a while, but enough is enough. Ludeykrus and I spent a night watching, laughing and coming up with nothing really to help control the idle a bit better. I would like to fix the problem rather than be forced to go with another manifold, but shall if I cant get this taken care of by Christmas.
We had several other small things that made us ponder, but over the next two weeks I hope to get things sorted out and make the car happy...

Well im not sure if i understand correctly is there not a place to mount the iavc on the mani. If there isnt the best way to get a smooth idle is put a block off plate on the iavc over the ports. This will make it idle really low. Then just use the idle screw to put the idle to 800. This will keep a steady idle, but on cold starts it might stall. Ive done this and it does work good.
