<<a little help here>>timing mark on cams
i just install dc5 itr cam does anyone konw how to set the cams on tdc..and im having a little trouble routing the chain is i can get the tension side tight but the other side stay loose..thank 4 the help..btw a picture diagram would be great!!!
Before you take the cams/cam gears off and chain/belt you should have marked it with white out at tdc. That way you can tell where tdc is...
Anyways, the exhaust side of the chain/belt should be able to move 1/2 inch back and forth. The intake side will be pretty tight. You are going to have to loosen the tensioner multiple times to get the right tension. I've done it a few times on B series motors. I know the helms manual has good diagrams.
