4800 RPM is about right for a Z6, and 5200 RPM is about right for a Y8.

on my turbo z6 i have the vtec set at 4400 but thats tuned... but i bet you have an intake and a v-afc dont touch anything the stock ecu will determine the best time to have it crossover

sorry to steal the thread but what about a chip in your ecu? I am looking at a chipped p28 for my b16. vtec at is at 5100. I have I/H/E, so is that a good rpm for me?

I've moved my x-over on a chipped p28 (stock maps). I went from 5200 to 4800 to allow for a smoother x-over since my tires used to break loose on the cross over in 2nd. +-500 rpms and you'll be fine, but I wouldn't recommend moving it any more than that (and leave it at stock unless you have a real reason to move it).
