well dam...ive got 140k on mine...but i think alot to do with mine burnin oil is turnin high rpms at highways speeds(3100@65mph)over 15 years i think it would take its toll on the rings and valve seals. but i did a compression test on it the other week and they all checked out between 135 and 150...except 1 that checked out at 0(burnt valve)so either its just worn out or someone beat the smurf out of it...i THINK im the third owner...a woman owned it at first when it was new...and she had it serviced like it was suposed to...but i bought it from a black guy and he had had the head off of it and replaced 2 valves(dont know for what reason)...but newayz keep postin up ur mileage!!!
are you on stock size wheels??ive got 16's...i thought that it would have change it a lil when i got the 16's but overall their only a half inch biger then stock..stock is 22 inchs across and my 16's with low pros are 22 1/2
Yeah, I'm on stock 13s. that little bit bigger is prolly the difference between my 3000 and your 3100. I'm assuming the gear ratios are the same though. Seems like Honda would make them the same if they were to be that close cuz otherwise it would be wasteful.
Im a tad shy of 245,000. I use a couple of quarts of oil between oil changes if I dont use "restore" when I change the oil. Use one quart between changes if I do use it, and I notice I average like 2 miles per gallon more with it also. I purchaced it from the original owner (at 203,000) who did service according to what the service guy at honda told her to do.Motor has not been broken into "YET" except for timing belts/water pumps.
88 Wagovan, 5-speed, motor's bone stock, just tripped 260,000 miles. Burns about a qt or 2 between oil changes. Trying some "stop leak" to see if that helps. Still runs like a top, albeit a miserly 92hp top.
