Default CRX Climate Control

Does any one know if the climate control for this car has a factory default or something? I called a couple of junkyards asking for one and was told that I wouldn't be able to find one since all of the them are cracked and that this is due to a factory default. I would have searched but the search server is down...

yeah after production they said there was a factory defect that was causing too much pressure on the plastic cover, you can still find em for expensive but given there age and defect they are well on there way also, i would buy a piece of metal or suttin and make my own if i were you. good luck though!

Or just buy one and put a cover on it.

awesome... ill lookt into that after i get a climate control unit... the crx i bought didnt have it in the dash so i have to pick one up.

I got another question too... i was looking on ebay and i realized that there are two different kinds of climate controls; one with push buttons and one with a slider type. My question is how do you know which one is for your car and can either of these work on a 91 crx si
