Please help. Need some ifno on BIG PROBLEM?????
Ok I stored my 98 type r for the last 3 months and when i put it away it worked perfect like always until I took i out.... So I took it out and it was stored with only about 5 gals of gas and when I took it out it started fine and drove fine without reving it up high. well i put gas in it and after about 8 miles of driveing and not hitting vtec ( I wanted to really warm it upbefore) and when i drove another 10 miles while driveing the rpms dropped to 0 and it shut off. So i pulled over and tried to start it up...nothing for about 10 mins then it finally started. then I was like ill try reving it up to get some gas going through it and when i reving it up in first ad hit vtec at 6k it sounded alot louder (the car is stock) and it started to pull then seemed like it hit a wall, like no hp and no tq???? ive driven it about 1500miles and replaced the plugs, feul filter, checked the ecu for codes(nothing) and the dealership has no idea, the dealrship hooked up the honda computer and no codes....Please HELP it has NO POWER in vtec and drives perfectly fine under 6k..
It wont even hit the rev limiter..itll just stop at like 8500 and struggle and stay there.....I have no clue and I need some honda techs out there PLEASE... email if you know anything...
THANKS

try replacing your fuel filter. may have gotten some rust from arusting gas tank due to the half tank of gas. drain your tank if you can and check to see if rust comes out if the problem persists. good luck. I hope I'm wrong.

You may want to check and see if the strainer on the fuel pump is dirty.

I have one word to say:
condensation
in the lines, injectors, fuel take........
try using an additive that will get rid of any water in the tank and lines
I'm surprised the dealership didn't hook up a computer to it and take it for a test drive.... it should have shown something.........

i changed the fuel filter, I changed the oil, I changed the spark plugs, I had the honda dealership check it out wiht the computer and nothing, I put dry gas in it several times and filled the tank of gas at least 5 times since then and it still has no power at all. I hate it, its like driven a stupid LS. I have to shift before 6k and shiiit......Its at the Acura dealer now hopefully getting fixed but I dont know....
