Default ok problem with the odometer

i was driving to work tonight, some punk pulls next to me in a Scion TC so we hit the gas and out of the blue my odometer starts going crazy, jumping up and down then it just die, i got to work and i check the VSS and unplug it and it was all full of some green like color. i try to clean but a pin came right off. it was rusted or something. is there a way to replace the plug or what can i do?
