Default 91 HF Fuel Problem

I have a 91 HF with 225,000 on it. It is completely stock. However, today while I was driving it like usual I stopped at a stop sign. I'm just getting used to driving standard and while at the stop sign I stalled it It wouldn't start after it stalled. I am thinking the main relay might be bad. The car will crank and crank, but the pump isn't priming and it's not getting fuel. It drove fine up until today. Any help would be appreciated.

when you turn the key to the on pos., not starting it, just on position, listen for a humming noise coming from the back drivers side. The car has to be warmed up, you must drive it first then try this. If you dont hear a humming noise from the drivers side, then change out the main relay. It is located on the drivers side, inside the car to the left of the fuse panel. You have to get under there to look for this main relay. It looks like a big fuse or something, it says main relay. Change it. Its 50.00 dollars from honda. Its easy, dont worry bout takin it to a shop,. they'll rip you. But anyways, After the relay is changed,go and drive it round the block, turn car off, then, put the key in the on position, do not start, listen for the hum, if you dont hear it, then its your fuel pump for sure. change it. Dont know how much a pump is, its probably a lot from honda. do what oyu think is practical. youi might here a hum, but if it dont start, then its pump. Also, there is a seasrch button to the uper right of this screen, theres a whole bunch of **** for you to read, dont bs, search!

I searched and found that the main relay was said to be a weak link, thats why I posted.

yea it'll happen after yo'uve been driving it and you turn the car off and try to start it rite away, i've had this problem with every one of my crx's but i've been almost alway too lazy to do anything about it+ winter time is coming, one more excuse for me to push it back........but you should replace it though, its easy and its worth the headaches you wont get trying to start at gas stationg, parking lots anda ll..

I hooked my multi meter up today and turned the key, the yellow wire is getting power, am I looking at the right wire? I unscrewed the cover for the float and the wires not going to the float I figured were the for the pump, am I wrong? there were 2, one yellow and one black.

yellow wire is the power, and black is ground. if there is power coming out of the yellow, replace fuel pump. if there was no voltage coming out of yellow, then replace main relay. But there is power so, its your pump

pump should be the prob. But make sure you have gas. you'd be surprised how many buddies have thought it was the pump and they just have a bad sender unit coming from the gas tank....and basically they just don't know they have any gas. good luck.....
